Ok, this blog is supposed to be a collection of things which inspire me, but I had to put this in because it shows what I think is a not so beautiful moment at Paris fashion week. This sort of seemingly 'out there' moment, this woman dressed in the so so cool, a revelation in air-kissing anxieties, also feeds something, maybe something political...people always think fashion is only about beautiful, but here is someone whose influences spread far and wide,and she's just got the very latest hottest look happening no doubt, but to me she looks like a victim with too many layers of money and hype protecting her from herself and the truth...(am I being too harsh?)
At Hermes, Jean Paul Gaultier brought his humour and street sense and married it with the classic style of Hermes. There was a lot of leather, a la Emma Peel and the Avengers, and the hats and tailoring alluded to the very British way of referring to historic notions and rituals.
